Xiao (Xiaorui Wang)

– Registered Acupuncturist (CAA)

Graduated from the Acupuncture Program of MacEwan University.
BSc in Biology with a Specialization in Integrative Physiology at the University of Alberta.

Acupuncture and TCM herbal medicine has been a transformative force in my life. Personally, I sought acupuncture treatment to alleviate dysmenorrhea and manage stress. These experiences have instilled in me a profound appreciation for TCM. Another significant aspect is the connection to my traditional culture. I am drawn to TCM because it resonates with me on a cultural level. It is not just a therapeutic practice but also a reflection of the wisdom and healing traditions passed down through generations.

Also drawing upon my background in BSc in integrative physiology from the University of Alberta, I aspire to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and holistic healing in a clinical setting. Through lectures and labs, my degree has equipped me with knowledge of biological and physiological processes. Now, I wish to apply this knowledge in combination with acupuncture to help individuals in need.

For those of you who have been coming to Erin’s clinic for while, I must be a familiar face to you! Yes, I have been working in this clinic for around 10 years as an assistant with plenty of hands on experience. Now, I am very excited to meet all of you anew as your registered acupuncturist and apply all my previous experience to help you!
